Causes of Death Due to Negligence in India
• From 2021 to 2023, deaths due to negligence in India were overwhelmingly driven by road accidents, which accounted for the vast majority of such fatalities. “Other road accidents” rose from about 93,931 to 1,06,051, while “hit and run” cases increased sharply from 43,499 to 51,780, together making up nearly all negligence-related deaths.
